Greetings all,

As you may have read in the 1955 F1 thread, my old partner in Team Players Big Ben has come back to join the team again. This is his favorite mod that we have been working on so it would be natural that he wanted to do something special for it.

He decided to learn how to do tracks and has some great ideas (and talent) so he decided to re-create a circa 1937 Brooklands track from scratch.

He is still working on it but I wanted to give you a small preview of his work.

The car you see in the screenshots is not from our 1937 mod. It is actually from another mod we are working on called T.O.C. (Turn Of the Century) which will have cars from the late 1800's to the mid 1920's. Look for a new section in the future on the mod.

Ben spent a lot of time looking through many pictures to make this as accurate as he could. The track has all 3 configurations and each one is a challenge to drive.

He is still working on some of the details but this will give you a good idea how it is coming along.

Great stuff!

If I had better possibilities to buy Bob's Track Builder, I would have started a (part-fantasy, part-real-life) 1955 track pack long ago. Already got me a huge collection of Silverstone pics around this time...

But, on the other hand, I have never built tracks before.

Nice work, I still mess with the 1937 Heat mod now, & then on the old board track - it's still fun.
Nice to see you guys together again. 8-)

The track looks very nice. And BTW, what is the make/model of the car in the photo? Just wondering.

Yes, Ben has done a really nice job on this track and it really has the feel of the era.

The car is the 1927 Tropfenwagen, it was the for-runner to Mercedes Benz and Auto Union.

You can read the history of it here:

Hi there, this looks very good, as I only live about 10 to 15 minutes away by car from Brooklands, I'm looking forward to driving this authentic version of the track. 8-)
