Just found this forum and learned about the 1967 mod for rFactor. GPL was simply the best racing game ever made. The work GPLEA did for the cars was also amazing. Is this mod being done by the same guys as GPLEA or is this another group?
Thanks. This is very exciting news. Can't wait.

P.S. Is there a teaser video link that works. I'm excited.

Someone just asked about that video, the link is in the post just before the screenshot of the 55 Mercedes.

Team Players isn't GPLEA, however most of us came from editing GPL to rFactor.

Hope you enjoy the vid, it was my first attemp at doing a video from rFactor. I don't claim to be a video guy but it gives you a good idea of where we are with the Eagle.

Bob

Great. Thanks. I tried that yesterday and it didn't work. Today it seems to be ok. Downloading vid as I type. I'm I right in reading the "other" GPL for rF (called F1 Classic I believe) is an illegal conversion of the GPLEA cars. So it's not from scratch, whereas this mod is totally new?

Yes, all of our work is original content made from scratch.

Hope you enjoy the video ;)

Cheers,
Bob

Hi

Just here to say thanks to the team that is working to bring this new "old F1" cars to rFactor. I think that this is the most thrilling era of motorsports (tons of torque and power, and little grip and technology but the pilot to maintain everything under control).

Currently I play the 67 mod made by SlimJim (I don't care about playing other racing games anymore, and I have plenty of them), and I'm eager to try TP's version. The videos that I've seen on youtube seem awesome. Too bad that I can't help, because I don't know (yet) how to mod. I'm just giving my first steps into it.

Cheers.

any news on the progress of this mod? also is the setup going to have realistic ranges because in my opinion as being a simulation should have a limited range of settings which will reflect what was available at the time and put more into the driving ability and adaptability , just my opinion.
